Location: Birmingham
Start Date: Spring Term/ ASAP Start
Pay Rate: MPS/UPS (dependent on expereicne)
About the role:
We are seeking a qualified Science Teacher to work in schools across the Birmingham area. This role involves delivering high-quality, engaging science lessons across the relevant key stages, supporting student progress and maintaining a positive and focused classroom environment. You will be expected to plan and deliver lessons in line with the curriculum, assess student understanding and contribute to the wider school community. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed teacher who is passionate about science education and keen to make a strong impact.
What you'll be doing:

Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across the required key stages

Teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics in line with the national curriculum

Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress
-
Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment
-
Differentiating lessons to support a range of abilities and learning needs
-
Working collaboratively with department staff and school leaders
-
Contributing to marking, feedback and school policies
Role Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised teaching qualification
-
Specialism or strong subject knowledge in Science
-
Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting
-
Strong classroom management and communication skills
-
A flexible, reliable and professional approach
-
An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one

Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
