SCIENCE TEACHER- FULL TIME- BIRMINGHAM BASED- AFTER FEBRUARY HALF TERM START


Are you ready to embark upon your next challenge within teaching?

Teaching Personnel are in collaboration with an excellent secondary school based within the B27/Acocks Green area of Birmingham to appoint a qualified science teacher on a full time basis.

This role commences after the February half term and will be a full-time, long term position with the potential of it going permanent. 

 

Who are we looking for?

Someone who holds a UK QTS

Individuals with an abundance of experience teaching Science within UK secondary schools (however, ECTs are also encouraged to apply)

Excellent behaviour management skills & strong classroom presence

Well rounded knowledge of the national curriculum for Science

Specialise in one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics but happy and confident to deliver all 3 specialisms

 

You will be responsible for:

The delivery of science lessons across all year groups and abilities

Planning and delivering engaging science lessons that are differentiated to cater to the individual needs within the class

Collaborating positively with colleagues within the science department

Creating a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment

Delivering lessons which mix both practical and theoretical science concepts

Contributing to the wider school community through active participation in extra-curricular activities i.e. parents evening

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
