Job Description:

Teaching Personnel are working with a school on the East side of Birmingham, seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team on a long-term and potentially permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Science lessons up to KS4 level, demonstrating strong behaviour management skills, and supporting with planning and marking tasks. This role requires a qualified teacher with QTS and PGCE qualifications.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver Science lessons up to Key Stage 4
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
  • Support with planning and marking tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • PGCE qualification

Education:

The ideal candidate will hold a PGCE qualification and have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Experience:

Prior experience in teaching Science up to KS4 level is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to teach Science up to KS4 level
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Strong curriculum knowledge
  • Ability to support with planning and marking tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching Science at KS4 level is desirable.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time contract role expected to start from May half term latest. The Science Teacher will be based in a school located on the East side of Birmingham in the West Midlands.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
