Are you a qualified Science teacher looking for a new role, new challenge or new environment?

Do you have a genuine passion for Science and a desire to help young people develop their understanding of the subject?

We're looking to appoint an enthusiastic Science teacher to a role at one of our client secondary schools in Stockport. The position is a full time role starting at the beginning of January 2020. This Science teacher role would be well suited to both experienced practitioners and newly qualified teachers.

Our client school's primary aim is to provide an education that will prepare all students for the rest of their life, equipping them with the necessary skills, confidence, resilience and qualifications to succeed on whatever path they take in the future. As a Science teacher, at KS3 you will be delivering a range of topics that follow the National Curriculum recommendations including: photosynthesis, the Periodic Table, waves, electricity, chemical reactions and cells. In Y9, pupils undertake a GCSE foundation year where they look at a more enhanced KS3 curriculum designed to prepare them for the transition to GCSE up until the Easter holidays, after which, they begin the first units of their GCSE curriculum. At KS4, pupils follow the Edexcel curriculum and both Combined and Separate Sciences are offered. With well stocked prep rooms, dedicated technician support and fully equipped labs, Teaching Personnel's client school truly is a place to pursue you passion of delivering high quality Science education.

Located close to the A34 and M60, the school is in an excellent location that is also very well serviced by public transport. Whether you own your own transport or not, this school is very easily accessible.

Criteria

  • Must be available for full time work from January 2020
  • Must have QTS in the UK - both experienced teachers and NQTs are welcome to apply
  • Must have suitable school-based references
  • Must be willing and able to apply for a fully enhanced DBS certificate
