Science Teacher Required For Maternity Cover!

Full-time Science teacher required for a local Southampton school with a September 2019 start.

Due to a teacher going on maternity leave over the summer, a west of Southampton school are looking for a science teacher to join their department. The role is suitable to either an NQT or an experienced teacher. You will be responsible for all teaching responsibilities during the period of the role.

  • Full-time Science teacher required September 2019 start.
  • Maternity cover for a Southampton based secondary school.
  • Teaching across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four, full planning and marking responsibilities required throughout this position.

Science teachers who would like to be considered for the role would have to be driven to raise attainment of all pupils, and be able to consistently deliver the highest quality of teaching and learning through outstanding practice. Experience delivering across KS3 and KS4 would be an advantage and also knowledge of the national science curriculum.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a current QTS and a relevant subject related degree.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Science.
  • Flexibility, resilience and excellent organisational skills.
  • An ability to be an active team player.
  • It would be an advantage if the candidate could teach a secondary subject.

This is an excellent opportunity for any Science teacher looking to secure a position in a well managed school. The school are very supportive and may have opportunities available for the right candidate once the maternity cover is over.
