Science Teacher or NQT - Full Time - Oldham

Are you a Science Teacher or Science NQT seeking a long term position this academic year?

Do you have experience teaching all Sciences to KS3 and GCSE level?

We are currently seeking a Science Teacher or Science NQT to join the department to support a gap in department due to maternity leave. This is a full time and long term position with the opportunity for a permanent placement for the right candidate.

  • Full time position teaching all 3 Sciences up to KS3 and GCSE level
  • Full timetable with full departmental responsibilities of planning and marking
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum)
  • Working at a large modern school in Oldham with state of the art facilities

Working at a large school in Oldham this is a great opportunity for a more experienced teacher seeking a new challenge or for a recent NQT seeking their first placement. With a strong support structure in place and additional training given through Teaching Personnel's further development and CPD courses, this is an excellent way to grow as a teacher and take the next step in your career. The school is located a short distance from major transport links from the city centre so is accessible for those without their own transport, as well as being located a short drive from the Hollinwood junction off the M60 ring road. With a huge recent financial investment and state of the art facilities through the school there are excellent teaching and learning provisions in place for the incoming Science Teacher or Science NQT.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and delivering inspiring lesson plans, ensuring pupils are engaged and reaching their full potential
  • Evaluating pupils' performance and development and reporting back to head of department and parents, putting in place plans to help them progress
  • Teach a full Science timetable up to KS3 and GCSE level, with full departmental responsibilities including planning and marking.
  • Promoting the schools ethos and values while enforcing the schools behaviour policy and ensuring a positive learning environment for all pupils within the school community

Call Jack at the North Manchester Secondary branch of Teaching Personnel today if you would like to put yourself forward for this position or you would like to hear about any of our other Science Teaching positions in Oldham and the surrounding area. Alternatively reply to this CV with an up to date copy of your CV and a cover letter to be considered for the position of Science Teacher in Oldham.
