We are recruiting passionate Welsh-speaking education professionals to support Welsh-medium schools across Newport and Gwent. Whether you’re an experienced classroom practitioner or looking to gain valuable school-based experience, there are opportunities waiting.
Your Role May Include:
• Delivering or supporting lessons through the medium of Welsh
• Covering classes across Foundation Phase or KS2
• Providing general classroom support or 1:1 assistance
• Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
• Adapting confidently to different school settings
For Teachers:
• QTS or PGCE
• Fluency in Welsh (spoken and written)
• Experience within primary or secondary settings
For Teaching Assistants:
• Fluency in Welsh (spoken and written)
• Experience working with children or young people (school-based or transferable experience welcomed)
• A proactive, reliable and supportive approach
For All Applicants:
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willingness to register
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• A genuine passion for Welsh-medium education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
