Are you a qualified Science teacher?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a Secondary school in Bolton, aiding them in recruiting a Science teacher for an immediate start. Due to a last minute staffing change, our client school require a dynamic Science teacher who is confident in teaching up to GCSE level.

  • Full-time Science teacher position available for an immediate start until the end of the academic year.
  • Both experienced and NQT candidates are welcome to apply for this position as all relevant induction support will be provided.
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (ÂŁ24,373 - ÂŁ40,490 per annum).
  • Access to the school's full training programmes alongside Teaching Personnel's CPD Academy.
  • Must hold subject specific qualifications in Science.
  • Secondary school in Bolton looking for ambitious staff to help improve overall student attainment.

The successful Science teacher will be expected to;

  • Support with the development of Schemes of Work in line with the National Curriculum for Science.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated Science lessons to meet the needs of individual learners at various levels of learning.
  • Assess and evaluate class work reporting back to Senior Teachers in order to take appropriate action to support pupils in meeting their aims and objectives.
  • Guide pupils who require additional support within a classroom and implement strategies to help manage their learning.
  • Promote positive behaviour management skills amongst pupils and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.

Our client school is located in Bolton and can be accessed via the M61 and A58 from surrounding areas such as Bolton and Salford. For non-drivers, there are several public transportation links from surrounding areas including Bolton, Salford and central Manchester.
