Large RC Secondary school in the Swinton area of Salford have an open vacancy for a Science teacher to join their faculty in the new academic year. The incoming Science teacher will take on a permanent role within the school from September 2018.

This position will commence in September 2018, however there is the possibility to join the school at an earlier date if convenient.

  • Science teacher required, September start
  • Permanent position - teaching Chemistry, Biology and Physics across KS3 and GCSE
  • Opportunities for progression in a forward thinking faculty
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£22,917 - £38,633 per annum)
  • Great location, near to the A580 (East Lancashire Road)

"An open position has become available within the Science department for a full time teacher of Science to join us in the new academic year, or sooner if possible. We are accepting applications from both experienced and newly qualified Science teachers, with experience of delivering outstanding practice. It is essential that the successful Science teacher can follow and implement our schools ethos and values within lessons and will partake in extracurricular activities to promote this." Head Teacher

In recent academic years, the Science department have seen a significant increase in attainment, both at GCSE and at A Level. The school also have an overall Progress 8 Score of +0.02, meaning all pupils are making the expected progress.

The school has recently been refurbished, creating open learning environments alongside enclosed state of the art laboratory areas. The successful Science teacher will be expected to create diverse lessons, utilising all space to ensure inclusivity is paramount.

Our client Secondary school is located in Swinton, near to Worsley and can be accessed via the A580 (East Lancashire Road). There are a number of public transportation routes that can be utilised to access the school, with a train stop adjacent to the school gates.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
