Job description

Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking for a new opportunity in a vibrant educational environment? Our client, a well-established secondary school in Manchester, is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students in the field of science.

Throughout this role you will be paid in line with your pay scale point (M1 to UPS3), you will earn a salary between £30,000 and £46,525 per annum, starting from the first day of your placement.

ECTs will be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons to students of varying abilities.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall science curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • You will be required to attend parents evening.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in science disciplines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
  • Experience in teaching science at the secondary level is preferred but not essential for outstanding candidates.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
