Science Teacher

A secondary school situated in the central Manchester area is looking to recruit a Science teacher ahead of the academic year in September. The school has an upcoming open vacancy which they are keen to recruit for in advance of the summer holidays. The school’s in-house cover supervisor and permanent teacher were fulfilling this teaching position to some degree for the past term but the school are keen to take on a science teacher for the new academic year (upon schools reopening). The school are therefore looking for a vibrant and motivated teacher of science to join their growing science department following the summer holiday. This is a full time science teaching position, teaching up to GCSE in all sciences.

The school is situated in the central Manchester area and is part of an academy trust of local schools. The head teacher, executive head teacher and entire senior leadership team are highly supportive and are keen to support any new teachers that join the school team. They can offer support with NQT induction years as well as additional training and a mentor for any newly qualified teachers.

• Pay dependent upon experience and pay scale; earning potential up to UPS 1 (GBP24,373 - GBP37,000)

The successful science teacher can be of any experience, whether a NQT or more experience science teacher – as long as they can exercise effective behaviour management and convey very good subject knowledge. Engagement of all students is imperative, teaching innovative and engaging lessons.
