Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our dynamic team at a thriving secondary school in the heart of Hartlepool. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to inspiring the next generation of scientists and fostering a love for learning.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A degree in a science-related subject (Physics, Biology, Chemistry or Combined Sciences)
-
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification
-
A passion for science and a commitment to helping students succeed
-
Strong communication and organisational skills
-
Experience teaching Key Stages 3 and 4 (desirable but not essential)
-
A proactive and positive approach to teaching and student development
Key Responsibilities:
-
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality science lessons
-
Create an inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking and academic progress

Assess, monitor and report on students’ progress, ensuring support is tailored to individual needs

Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative curriculum resources and teaching strategies

Apply effective behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive classroom environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
