Job description

Inspire and Engage in a Truly Unique School Environment

A highly supportive and forward-thinking specialist setting in the Cranborne countryside is searching for a passionate Science Teacher.

The school is known for its calm environment, excellent teaching team and its commitment to helping every learner achieve meaningful progress.

This is a full-time role with an immediate start, offering secondary teaching up to GCSE level.

Due to the rural location, a full driving licence is essential.


What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Minimum 6 months childcare experience, ideally supporting SEN

  • Ability to deliver engaging Science lessons and adapt learning where needed

  • Patience, resilience and strong relationship-building skills

  • Confidence teaching KS3 and KS4 pupils

  • Someone organised, reflective and committed to high-quality teaching


Your Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering purposeful and motivating Science lessons

  • Supporting pupils academically and emotionally

  • Contributing to curriculum planning and classroom development

  • Leading a small tutor group and building positive routines

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to promote progress and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
