Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Science Teacher to work at one of their largest partner schools in South Bristol. The overarching vision of the school is to provide  Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community' and is looking for an individual who can embody their values and inspire the next generation of changemakers and innovators. This role will commence in September and is a permanent, full-time role.

If you are a qualified teacher or Early Career Teacher (ECT) who specialises in Science and would like to make a real difference teaching students in a diverse and dynamic secondary school in Bristol, we would love to hear from you!

As a Science Teacher, your role will involve:

  • Delivering and teaching engaging KS3/4 lessons that meet curriculum objectives
  • Managing student behaviour, ensuring the classroom environment is safe and supportive of learning, and reporting to parents and other staff members when necessary
  • Mark and assess the work of students

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • great subject knowledge, and a commitment to want to continue learning
  • Be confident in using a variety of behaviour management strategies
  • Passionate about teaching and the impact of a high-quality education on children’s learning progress and life outcomes
  • Commitment to the school’s vision and values

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
