Science Teacher
Location: Bedford
Job Type: Full Time Contract from 15th April - 19th July 2024 (permanent contract offer for the right candidate)
Pay: MPS or UPS (paid weekly and daily rate equivalent)

The School: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated full-time Science Teacher to join our vibrant faculty. The School is located in a quiet village near Bedford and is part of a large and successful Multi Academy Trust with an excellent network of schools operating successfully across the region with Ofsted Good and Outstanding results in Primary and Secondary schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the Science Department as a professional Science Teacher or Science Instructor.
- Plan, mark, and deliver Science lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils.
- Create and deliver engaging and innovative Science lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment in the classroom to instil a love for Science.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve academic excellence and support their progress and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and comprehensive Science curriculum.
- Utilise modern teaching methods, technology, and practical experiments to enhance learning experiences.
- Encourage student participation in extracurricular Science activities and competitions.
Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years of teaching experience as a Science Teacher.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
- Expertise in teaching Science to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students (Key Stage 5 experience is a bonus).
- A passion for science and a deep understanding of scientific principles.
- Strong communication skills, both in the classroom and with colleagues and parents.
- Dedication to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest educational practises.
