Full time Science teacher required for a long term absence in a Bury based Secondary school from October 2018, with the potential to start earlier for the successful candidate.

With a staff member within the Science department due to take a long term sickness leave, this growing Bury based Secondary school are seeking to appoint a dynamic Science specialist teacher to join their outstanding facility after half term.

  • Must hold QTS - both experienced and Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome to apply.

  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £22,917 - £38, 633.

This diverse Secondary school, based in Bury has an increased demand within the Science department due to a longstanding member of staff going on sickness leave. The incoming Science teacher can expect to join a strong staff team with a community culture. With the Science department achieving consistently good grades during GCSE Examinations this well respected Secondary school are seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join their faculty.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Promote the school's vision, aims, objectives and values.
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
  • Effectively teach the National curriculum within the school's Teaching and Learning Policy.
  • Develop schemes of work, resources, teaching and learning strategies, contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of all pupils.

Located just outside of bury town centre, this Secondary school can easily be accessed via the M66 and the surrounding areas; Bolton, Rochdale and Salford. With just over 800 pupils on roll, aged 11-16, there are various public transport options with links across Greater Manchester.
