Looking for a School Administrator with proven attendance experience?

A friendly and well-established school is seeking an experienced School Attendance & Administrative Assistant to join their office team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands the importance of attendance, safeguarding, family engagement and accurate school administration.

This role would suit a candidate who has previously worked within a school office and has direct responsibility for attendance monitoring and management.

The Role

Working as part of a busy school office, you will play a key role in ensuring attendance procedures run effectively while providing administrative support to staff, pupils and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring and recording pupil attendance and punctuality
• Managing daily absence calls and first-day contact procedures
• Liaising with parents regarding attendance concerns
• Producing attendance reports and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting safeguarding processes linked to attendance
• Updating school databases and management systems
• Providing front-of-house support for visitors and parents
• General administrative support for the wider school team

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

• Previous experience working in a school office environment
• Direct attendance administration experience
• Strong knowledge of school attendance procedures
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Confidence dealing with parents and external agencies
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience using school management systems is advantageous
• A professional, calm and approachable manner
