SEND Teaching Assistant

Hounslow | Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hounslow is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support for a pupil with additional needs on a full-time, long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with SEND and wants to play a key role in helping a pupil build confidence, independence and achieve their full potential.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

✔ At least 6 months' experience working with children in a school setting

✔ Experience supporting pupils with SEND

✔ A patient, calm and nurturing approach

✔ Strong communication and relationship-building skills

✔ The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff

✔ A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

✔ Providing dedicated support to a pupil with additional needs

✔ Supporting learning through adapted and differentiated activities

✔ Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement

✔ Monitoring progress and sharing observations with teaching staff

✔ Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team

✔ Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment

✔ Supporting both academic and social development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
