About This Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Year 2 Class Teacher to join a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Hounslow. The school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who can create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where every child feels supported to succeed.

You will be responsible for delivering creative and inspiring lessons that prepare pupils for the transition into Key Stage 2, while supporting both their academic progress and personal development. The school has a collaborative and supportive culture, with teachers working together to share ideas, resources and best practice.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
  • Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
  • High expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A passion for helping children achieve their full potential

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Year 2 lessons
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Assess, track and monitor pupil progress
  • Differentiate learning to meet individual pupil needs
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Build positive relationships with parents, staff and the wider school community
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school
