We are looking for a School Administrator to join a fantastic SEN primary school in Pontypridd — with the exciting added opportunity to support pupils and staff in the classroom as a Teaching Assistant when required.

This inclusive SEN primary school, based across two well-resourced sites on the outskirts of Pontypridd, provides specialist support for pupils aged 3–19 with a diverse range of additional learning needs. The school is known for:

As part of this team, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring the school runs smoothly while supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
About the Role
Your role will primarily focus on school administration, with additional opportunities to work as a Teaching Assistant during busy periods, staff absences or high‑need times.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Provide a warm, professional reception service for parents, visitors, and pupils
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and general school correspondence
- Maintain and update pupil records and school databases
- Support attendance monitoring and reporting
- Assist with filing, document preparation, data entry, and general admin tasks
- Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies
- Support SLT with organisational tasks and communications
- Help coordinate meetings, appointments, and school events
Occasional Teaching Assistant Duties
- Provide classroom support during staff shortages or high-need times
- Assist pupils with SEN in their learning and daily routines
- Support small-group work or 1:1 sessions under teacher direction
- Help maintain a positive, calm, and inclusive classroom environment

We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Is highly organised, efficient, and able to multitask
- Communicates confidently and professionally
- Is comfortable using Microsoft Office (SIMS experience desirable but not essential)
- Handles confidential information with professionalism
- Can work calmly in a busy school environment
- Is warm, approachable, and a great team player
- Is open to supporting pupils with SEN when required
Previous school admin or TA experience is beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
