School Administrator – Pontypridd
Location: Pontypridd, CF38
Contract: Full Time, Until the end of the academic year
Pay Rate: £89.38 – £100 per day
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible
Are you an organised, reliable administrator looking for a rewarding role in a supportive primary school environment? We are seeking a dedicated School Administrator to join a welcoming school in Pontypridd, providing essential office and administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
About the School
This welcoming and inclusive SEN primary school operates across two sites on the outskirts of Pontypridd and supports pupils aged 3–19 with a wide range of additional learning needs. The school has grown significantly in recent years and is known for its nurturing ethos, strong staff teamwork, and close collaboration with families and external professionals. Staff work together to create a safe, caring, and well-organised environment where pupils and visitors feel supported and valued.
About the Role
- Provide front-of-house reception support, greeting visitors and handling enquiries
- Manage phone calls, emails, and general correspondence
- Maintain pupil records and update school databases
- Support attendance tracking and reporting
- Assist with document preparation, filing, and data entry
- Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies as required
- Support senior leadership with general administrative tasks
- Help coordinate appointments, meetings, and school communications
We Are Seeking Someone Who:
- Has strong organisational and time-management skills
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and school admin systems (SIMS experience desirable but not essential)
- Communicates clearly and professionally
- Can handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Works efficiently in a busy office environment
- Is friendly, proactive, and approachable
- Works well as part of a collaborative staff team
Previous school administration experience is desirable but not essential — a positive attitude and willingness to learn are highly valued.
Requirements
Teaching Personnel provides guidance and support for obtaining the following:
- Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- References covering two years of employment
