Religious Education Teacher - Bolton

A secondary school of Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Religious Education to join them September due to an upcoming retirement within the schools Humanities department.

Our client school, based in Bolton have expressed the desire to appoint a teacher who integrate seamlessly with there high achieving humanities department from September 2019.

Employment is being offered on a 12 month, temporary basis in the first instance but their will be an opportunity to earn a permanent contract later in the year. (Performance dependant.)

  • Religious education teacher - Full time teaching role
  • Must hold QTS status and PGCE qualifications specialising in Religious education
  • Pay is inline with MPS and UPS pay scale (£23,720 - £39,406)
  • The school welcome applications from Religious Education teachers of all experience levels (NQT's and experienced teachers)

The successful candidate will be teaching Religious Education to students ranged 11-16 and will be expected to take sole responsibility of planning and marking responsibilities. The school have identified that they would like to appoint a Religious Education Teacher that is able to deliver their specialist subject in a manor that increases engagement amongst their pupils.

The school is a relatively small school with around 860 students on roll. As this is a Roman Catholic school it is important that incoming teachers are respectful of the schools moral values and show tolerance understanding towards other religions, races and ways of life. Located in Bolton this secondary school is located just a short drive from the M61 motorway; alternatively the public transport links are very accessible to the surrounding areas, Bury, Rochdale, Manchester and Wigan.
