About the school

We are recruiting for a Reception Teaching Assistant for a school situated near the town centre of Gravesend. The school is a one form entry primary school with a part time nursery. The school is a very diverse school with children from a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds. It is a happy, caring school where everyone tries their best.

The headteacher provides strong, clear leadership. She has high ambitions for the school and equally high expectations of all staff. Teamwork is strong across the school and everybody works together, is involved and accountable. Behaviour in the school is good, and students are respectful of each other and of the adults in the school.

The school is based in Gravesend and is accessible via car or bus.

About the role

This primary school is looking for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to work within their Reception class. The successful candidate must have excellent behaviour management, a good knowledge of the National Curriculum and have prior experience of supporting children within an EYFS environment.

The role itself will involve working within the schools Reception classes, supporting a child with undiagnosed SEN's with all their learning and development needs including phonics, reading, maths and fine motor skills.

To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
• Hold a Level 3 Qualification
• Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Provide a CV with at least 6 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
• Have the legal right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
