Early Years Teacher Required, Hackney

  • Teacher with EY experience needed for immediate start
  • Experienced SMT and strong structure in school
  • Outstanding rated by OFSTED

I am currently working with a school based in Homerton (E9) Hackney.

Start date:

This position is to start in March 2017.

The position:

You will be working as a Reception Teacher with a class of 30 pupils and manage a Teaching Assistant. There is 1 child in the class with mild Autism that has a 1:1 LSA. The children are currently working at average to high levels and have benefited from having an experienced teacher beforehand. The ideal person will have worked in Early Years and gained a strong understanding of the curriculum.

The school:

The school have an experienced senior management team, supportive staff and extremely polite children. With parking on site for all staff and a local train station and bus stop nearby, this is easily accessible for anyone within 10 miles of the school. They have recently been inspected by Ofsted and are awaiting a result, but with their last 5 inspections coming back as “Good” or “Outstanding”, they are expected to be in the same category.

The ideal candidate:

Applications are welcome from Newly Qualified and Fully Qualified Teachers, UK experience is essential. Ideally, you’ll have some experience teaching in Early Years but it’s not essential.

The Interview:

The interview process will consist of an interview and observation. You will be observed by the Head Teacher while teaching the class for roughly 45 minutes – 1 hour. Afterwards there will be an interview with the Head and Deputy. Please be prepared to talk through your skills and experiences in detail.
