A school in Wetherby are in need of an experienced Early Years Practitioner to provide extra support in their Reception class until the until at least the May half-term. If you have experience providing support in an Early Years/Reception setting then this could be the role for you!

The role is at a lovely 1 form entry school in Wetherby, which is easily accessibly by car and public transport, with plenty of parking space. The head needs someone to do 3 days a week until at least the May half-term as the usual dedicated TA for the Reception class is off on long-term sick. They have a retired ex-Teaching Assistant helping out 2 days a week, and just need someone who can work from Wednesday to Friday each week. The class teacher is very experienced and has taught the Reception class at the school for 4 years, so will provide great support to any new recruit to the school.

The Head wants to appoint someone who has experience in Early Years settings either as an Early Years Practitioner or Teaching Assistant. This would ideally involve experience of Guided Reading, Phonics and Guided Play. In this role you will be expected to provide extra support to the whole class, making sure everyone remains on task and focussed so that the Class Teacher can best teach their lesson. Therefore any experience of general class TA work would be valued by the school.
