Reception Teaching Assistant Needed in Huyton

Are you a friendly and supportive individual wanting to aid the learning environment of a Reception Class in a mainstream primary school?

Teaching Personnel are working with a mainstream primary school in Huyton, L36, who are seeking a full time Teaching Assistant to join their Reception Class. 

The role is supporting a Reception pupil on a 1-1 basis with autism and who is non verbal. You will be assisting the pupil during lesson times and upholding safeguarding throughout the school. You will also participate in prepping the pupil's work, running interventions and booster sessions and keeping a log of the pupil's progress and behaviour for later assesments. The ideal Teaching Assistant will have similar relative experience supporting children around 4-5yrs and be confident in a classroom environment.

The Role:

• Full time, Monday - Friday
• Hours approximately 8:30am - 3:15pm 
• GBP10 - GBP11 per hour 

Responsibilities:

• Providing support within the classroom wherever required

• Delivering activities on one-to-one or small group basis

• Ensuring children are engaged

• Adapting to every individual pupil’s needs

• Helping with behaviour management of children

• Creating displays of children’s work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
