RE Teacher- GOOD school- South Manchester

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a large secondary school (11-18) situated in South Manchester for an RE Teacher ahead of the new academic year. This is an outstanding opportunity for an RE Teacher to join one of the most successful comprehensive schools in the country. This is a very exciting time for an RE Teacher to join the school as they have recently completed a significant expansion project allowing for vast career development opportunities:

  • Delivery of Religious Studies to Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£22,917- £38,633)
  • Ofsted graded GOOD school- 2018
  • School located in South Manchester with excellent public transport links

The Senior Leadership team are seeking a competent RE Teacher who is able to deliver consistently good and outstanding lessons. You must display exemplary professionalism, have high expectations of students and demonstrate a commitment to the extra-curricular life of the school. Further, due to the school also having a sixth form, the ability to teach Religious Studies to A level is desirable.

Reporting to the Head of Religious Studies, the incoming RE Teacher will be responsible for teaching Religious Studies at Key Stages 3 and 4. Religious Studies is a very successful and high achieving department at the school with consistently achieving outstanding GCSE results. In recent years, the Raiseonline report has indicated Religious Studies courses at KS4 are performing significantly above national standards. The uptake of Religious Studies courses at A-level is also very high.

Our partner school is one of the most over-subscribed schools in the area with over 1400 pupils on roll. The school has a large proportion of students from a wide variety of minority ethnic backgrounds. At present, the number of students who speak English as an additional language is above the national average.

If you are an RE Teacher seeking a truly unique teaching opportunity from September, please send your full CV to Paul via the link below. Alternatively, to discuss this in more detail please contact the Manchester South Branch directly.
