Qualified Teacher of Science for September 2019

The school based in the coastal town of Bognor Regis in West Sussex are looking to appoint a passionate, inspirational and ambitious Teacher of Science to join their already expert and highly qualified team of practitioners and support staff for September 2019. The department boasts excellent facilities after undergoing a renovation of the laboratories and has recently been reviewed by the trust as a strong well-led department. With this is mind, the head of department is looking for someone who can confidently teach across all of the sciences to both KS3 and KS4 to an high standard as well as enrich the science curriculum with their own refreshing expertise, approaches to pedagogy and enthusiasm.

The department is set up to welcome either an NQT or more experienced teacher. The school has an excellent support and CPD programme ran by a well respected assistant principal. The successful candidate should be keen to develop their teaching and learning, whatever stage of their career. You must be passionate, resilient and be whiling to take risks by putting science into real life contexts to help motivate students in the classroom and beyond. The department offers a fantastic extra curriculum programme of which you should take an active part in sharing new ideas and energy.
