About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychology Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and educate students in the fascinating field of psychology. The successful candidate will start in September 2024 and will play a crucial role in developing the academic and personal growth of our students.
Salary: £30,000 to £46,55 per annum.
Hours: Full-time.
Location: Manchester
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective psychology lessons to students at KS4 and KS5 levels.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for the subject.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Develop and adapt teaching resources to meet the varying needs of students.
- Support students' social and emotional development and provide guidance on educational and career pathways related to psychology.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the broader school community, including participating in departmental meetings and school events.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in Psychology or a closely related field.
- Proven experience teaching psychology at the secondary school level is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education.
