Calling all Psychology graduates!

A secondary school in Bath is looking for Teaching Assistants to work with students on a 1:1 basic who have social and emotional needs. This is a mainstream school and you will be supporting students in class.

So why psychology graduates?

You won't be teaching Psychology or supporting this subject whatsoever. The reason is because Psychology Graduates have historically been very successful in this role. 

Why is this?

  • have an instant empathy with and understanding with children with social needs and can spot triggers and reasons behind the behaviour. 
  • Enthusiasm and passion for Education. So many Psychology Graduates become teachers so they are committed and will take feedback on board
  • Very academic, so perfect for SEND (Special Needs) support.
  • Love to run extra curricular groups like Lego and art therapy etc
