Primary Teaching Assistant - Bournemouth

Teaching Personnel are working with a client school in Bourenmouth, seeking a Teahcing Assistant to join their team. The school is a Primary SEN School, catering for pupils aged 5-12 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Due to the nature of the pupils needs they can display challenging behaviour and you must be confident supporting this. The school has small class sizes of aroung 6-8 pupils.

You will be working within a Key Stage 2 Class, supporting the class teacher. Your role will involve supporting pupils on a 1-1 basis and in small groups, helping them with their work and supporting their emotional needs. You may also be required to work with pupils on a 1-1 basis in breakout rooms.

To be succesful in this role you should:

  • have experience working with children of a primary age
  • be confident and resilient dealing with challenging behaviour
  • have a nurturing approach
  • have an understanding of the primary curriculum

This role is to start immediatley (dependant on vetting) and is a temporary role, however there is the opportunity to become a permanent memebr of staff for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
