Job Title: Year 2 Primary Teacher

Location: Newton Aycliffe
Contract Type: Full-time 

 

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Primary Teacher to join our supportive and forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and nurture pupils at a crucial stage in their learning journey, helping them to build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Assess, record, and report on pupils’ progress and attainment
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Support pupils’ emotional and social development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events and extracurricular activities

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2
  • Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • A commitment to high standards and pupil achievement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for education and making a difference

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
