Job description

Teaching Personnel are partnering with a specialist SEND school in Hartlepool (TS27) to recruit a passionate and committed Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is motivated by making a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs.

About the Role

You will be teaching pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). The school values “huge small victories”  celebrating the meaningful, personal progress their learners make each day.

This is a highly supportive environment offering access to in‑house psychologists, therapy teams and experienced support staff. Class sizes are small, and the provision is well‑resourced to help you deliver personalised, engaging lessons.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience with SEND, particularly ASD or SEMH
  • A positive, resilient and supportive attitude
  • A passion for helping young people thrive
  • An enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
