Primary Teacher

A school in East Leeds have contacted Teaching Personnel in search of a Year 5/6 teacher to work at the school until at least the end of the winter term (December 2020). If you are available full-time and have experience teaching Year 6 in preparation for KS2 SATs then see below for more details!

The school are in need of a Mixed Year 5/6 Class teacher as their current teacher has had to take maternity leave early due and will not return to work for several months. The school need a teacher full-time until Christmas at least, where they will then re-evaluate the position and extend the booking depending on success in the role. Therefore, this booking will be extended until the end of the year depending on success in the role. The school is a 2 form entry primary school who are an improving school. They are working towards receiving a GOOD / OUTSTANDING Ofsted in the next 24 months. 

This role would involve settling in and immediately beginning preparation ahead of the KS2 SATs which are expected to run as normal next year. Ideally the candidate would be a teacher with experience in preparing for and administering KS2 SATs, with in-depth knowledge of the curriculum and a track record of raising attainment. The school also have aspirations of one day being graded as OUTSTANDING by Ofsted and to do this must improve on pushing the higher attaining students further.
