Job description

Teaching Personnel Cornwall are recruiting for enthusiastic Primary Tutors to work with mainstream schools, supporting children’s catch-up learning. Teaching Personnel were this week announced as one of the 32 providers to work as part of the National Tutoring Programme Network so this would be a great opportunity for any experienced educators to apply!

The small groups can vary between 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3, but 1:3 has been the recommended group size for schools. (Call for more information)

We are particularly keen to speak to previous educators such as Head Teachers, Deputy or Assistant Headteachers, SENCOs, Subjects Leads and Fully Qualified Teachers who have more than 10 year's experience. 

Key requirements:

  • Ability to work from own initiative
  • Ability to progress children without intense pressure
  • Relevant qualification with QTS
  • Sound experience with Phonics and/or SATs
  • X2 Contactable teaching references
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (Registered with the DBS Update Service) – This can be purchased through TP if you do not currently have one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
