Year 5 Teacher – Full-Time Role (January Start) | Gorton

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a warm and inclusive primary school in Gorton that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join their team. This full-time position (8:30am–3:30pm) begins in January.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for Year 5 pupils
  • Monitor, track and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support
  • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share ideas, resources, and effective practice
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Year 5 or within Key Stage 2
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to adapt lessons to meet a range of learning needs
  • Good understanding of the national curriculum and current teaching methodologies
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Confident in using technology to support teaching and learning
