KS2 TEACHER – BOLTON (FULL‑TIME)


A welcoming primary school in Bolton is searching for a committed, energetic and forward‑thinking KS2 Teacher to join their team on a full‑time basis, covering a maternity leave. They’re looking for someone who can bring strong classroom practice, a warm presence and a genuine passion for pupil progress across the upper or lower KS2 phase.


As the class teacher, you’ll take ownership of planning, delivering and assessing a broad, engaging KS2 curriculum—ensuring every child is challenged, supported and motivated to achieve their best. You’ll build positive relationships with pupils, set clear routines, create a safe and stimulating classroom environment, and deliver lessons that are adaptive, inclusive and inspiring.


Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:
• Planning and sequencing high‑quality lessons aligned with the KS2 national curriculum
• Using assessment data to identify gaps, inform next steps and personalise learning
• Differentiating activities to ensure accessibility for pupils at varying levels
• Leading small‑group interventions and targeted support sessions
• Working closely with teaching assistants to maximise impact in the classroom
• Managing behaviour with consistency, care and confidence
• Communicating effectively with parents and colleagues
• Contributing to whole‑school initiatives, curriculum development and staff meetings
• Maintaining accurate records, marking work promptly and providing clear feedback
• Supporting the wider life of the school through events, trips, clubs or responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
