Year 5 Teacher – Full-Time Position in Openshaw
Start Date: After the Easter break
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Teaching Personnel is delighted to support a warm and welcoming primary school in Openshaw that is looking for an enthusiastic teacher to join their team this April. This is an excellent opportunity for a Year 5 teacher who is passionate about inspiring pupils and helping them prepare for the transition into upper Key Stage 2.

Your Role
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 5 preferred)
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Ability to differentiate learning for diverse needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
