Year 5 Teacher – Full-Time Position in Openshaw
Start Date: January
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Teaching Personnel is proud to be working with a welcoming primary school in Openshaw, seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their team from January. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and challenge pupils as they prepare for the transition to upper Key Stage 2.

Your Role
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to share best practices
- Support pupils’ social and emotional development alongside academic growth
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 5 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Ability to differentiate teaching for diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
