Inspire and Support Young Learners in a Thriving Key Stage 2 Setting

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working alongside a friendly and inclusive primary school in Didsbury, seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September.

The Role

As the Year 5 Class Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that help pupils develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to share ideas, resources, and best practice
  • Building positive relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community
  • Participating in ongoing professional development and contributing to wider school life

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of learning styles and abilities
  • A secure understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
  • Confidence using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • A genuine passion for helping pupils succeed
