Year 4 Teacher, Blackpool

  • QTS required (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • DBS registered with the Update Service (desirable)
  • Experience teaching in Lower Key Stage 2 in the last 12 months would be preferable
  • Available from April 2021 on a full-time basis

Teaching Personnel have a new and exclusive vacancy for a Summer Start

A Primary school that Teaching Personnel work exclusively with have recently contacted the agency with a full-time Year 4 class teaching role. The role will begin from April 12th 2021 and will be full school working hours from 8:30am – 3:30pm. The school is located near to the centre of Blackpool near the town centre (FY1) and is easily commutable by car, train or bus to and from the school.

This is a larger than average sized Primary school. Over 40% of children in this school speak English as an Additional Language (EAL) and due to being close to Blackpool centre there are a number of children who are from inner city deprived backgrounds who require additional nurture and support.

The Head teacher at this school has been in post for 6+ years and over this period has managed to get the school from an IMPROVING to a GOOD Ofsted. The school are looking for a Teacher who has an enthusiastic personality who can bring new ideas to the school and to the working team. All of the staff in the team work collaboratively and the appointed teacher for this role would have a supportive and friendly team around them.

What type of Teacher is the Head Teacher looking for?

The Head teacher is looking for a hard working, creative and enthusiastic practitioner who can build strong relationships with the children and their parents. They are looking for a Teacher who has sound working knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and preferably who has previous experience with delivering and preparing children for the Key Stage 2 SATs.

What do you need to do to secure the role?

To apply you must have the above pre-requisites. You must also apply through sending an up to date CV and cover email. Your CV needs to include the following; Last 6 years of employment (including studying and non-teaching roles). The Head teacher is keen to interview and trial at least three short listed teachers from Teaching Personnel. The successful teacher will then be offered the role based on additional questioning and subject to vetting.

What does it mean to work through Teaching Personnel in a school?

As you will be contracted to Teaching Personnel whilst working in this role, any vetting, pay, HR and other employment related issues will be dealt with by Teaching Personnel. Pay rates for the day will be negotiated on offer of the role and will be highly competitive based on your experience. Working hours are flexible as the demand of a school working day will vary throughout the working week.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
