Job description

Job Title: Primary Supply Teacher

Teaching personnel are currently working with a number of fantastic primary schools based within the Hackney area who are always on the look out for experienced supply teachers for on the day cover/PPA cover throughout the week.

Job Description:

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to primary school students. You will cover classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a smooth continuation of the learning process. Your role will involve working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and catering to the individual needs of students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will also be adept at behavioural management to create a positive learning environment.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Plan and prepare lesson materials
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Adapt teaching methods to cater to students with SEN
  • Maintain classroom discipline and manage behaviour effectively

Required Qualifications:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

 

Experience:

  • Prior UK teaching experience
  • Experience working with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students
  • Experience in planning and assessment
  • Experience in supply teaching

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the UK curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in SEN or behavioural management

Working Conditions:

This is a temporary position with full-time hours. The salary ranges from £135.00 to £175.00 per day, paid on a PAYE basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
