Job Description: Primary Supply Teacher

Location: Hackney, Greater London, England

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £135.00 - £175.00 Per day

Benefits: PAYE

Qualifications: UK QTS

Job Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to primary school students
  • Follow the school's curriculum and lesson plans
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain discipline
  • Assess and evaluate student progress
  • Provide feedback to students, parents, and school staff
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Prepare and organise learning materials and resources

Required Qualifications:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

  • Prior experience in teaching primary school students
  • Experience in supply teaching or cover teaching

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Proficiency in delivering lessons in literacy, numeracy, and science
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational and time management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications or training in specific subject areas
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Knowledge of educational technology tools and resources

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a primary school setting
  • Full-time temporary position
  • Work hours may vary based on school schedule
  • Collaboration with other teachers and support staff
  • Participation in staff meetings and professional development activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
