A provision based in Ascot is looking to hire for December 2020. The provision was set up to offer one to one support for Primary and Secondary pupils with Autism. The provision is taking on new pupils in 2020 and require 8 new Teaching Assistants/Tutors to join the team.
They are looking for Teaching Assistants/Tutors who are available full time and keen to kick start or continue a career working with Special Educational Needs.
The provision is offering a full training programme to new staff which will allow you to understand the pupils’ intervention plans and qualify as a Registered Behaviour Technician. You will work closely with a qualified Team Leader who will guide you through the training.
Job role
- Working one to one with pupils delivering their intervention programmes
- Using reward based learning techniques to help the child learn key skills
- Offering emotional support to pupils
- Recording pupils progress and liaising with professionals
- Supporting pupils on with extra curricular activities
Successful Candidates:
- Experience with children and adults with Special Educational Needs. (Desired not essential as full training will be provided)
- Degree in Psychology, Health and Social, Childcare or Education (Desired)
- A-Levels qualified (Essential)
- Committed to taking on additional training (Essential)
- Dedicated to a career in Education, especially working with Special Educational Needs
- Patient, nurturing and resilient
