Electrical / Construction Trainer–Assessor

Recruiting on behalf of a partner Further Education College
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a leading Further Education college in Northamptonshire to recruit an experienced and motivated Electrical / Construction Trainer–Assessor.

About the Role
As a Trainer–Assessor, you will play a key role in supporting apprentices and students to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to succeed in the electrical and/or construction industries.
No two days will be the same. Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering training and assessment to apprentices/students in the workplace and/or college environment

Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback
-
Supporting learners to achieve qualifications within agreed timescales
-
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with awarding body requirements
-
Building strong relationships with employers and stakeholders
-
Managing and prioritising a varied caseload effectively
You will be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, working within a culture that values inclusion, innovation and high standards.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking candidates who demonstrate:

Excellent communication skills — written, verbal and active listening

The ability to engage effectively with apprentices, colleagues and external stakeholders
-
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
-
High levels of attention to detail and accuracy
-
The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
-
A professional, responsive approach to customer service
Qualifications
-
GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
-
A relevant industry qualification at least one level above the level being assessed (to be discussed at shortlisting stage)
An assessor qualification (e.g. TAQA/CAVA) is desirable but not essential for the right candidate, as development may be supported.
