Teaching Personnel are proud to be working in partnership with a leading Further Education college in Northamptonshire to recruit a passionate and skilled Teacher of Electrical Installation.

About the Role
As a Teacher of Electrical Installation, you will deliver engaging and industry-relevant teaching to students across a range of levels. You will inspire learners, develop their practical and theoretical knowledge, and prepare them for successful careers within the electrical industry.
No two days are the same. Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in Electrical Installation

Coaching and supporting students to achieve academic and practical success
-
Managing classroom behaviour effectively and creating a positive learning environment
-
Assessing student work and providing timely, constructive feedback
-
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to quality improvement processes
-
Working collaboratively with colleagues and wider support teams
You will join a collaborative team environment where innovation, inclusion and student success are central to the college’s ethos.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking candidates who demonstrate:
-
Experience or aptitude in coaching, tutoring or teaching
-
The ability to effectively engage and manage groups of students
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Confidence using IT/ICT systems to support teaching and administration
-
Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
-
High attention to detail and accuracy
-
A professional and responsive approach at all times
Qualifications
-
GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or willingness to obtain)
-
A relevant academic qualification within Electrical Installation
-
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS or equivalent)
OR
For industry specialists looking to transition into teaching:
-
Level 3 (or above) qualification and/or significant industry experience in Electrical Installation
-
Willingness to undertake a teaching qualification (fully supported by the college)
