Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated primary teacher with a passion for helping children thrive?
We are looking for an inspirational Year 2 Teacher to join our warm, supportive, and forward‑thinking school community. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping pupils’ early learning, confidence, and love for school during this important stage of their education.

Position: Year 2 Teacher
Contract: Full‑time
Start Date: Monday 13th April 2026
Location: Barnoldswick

As our Year 2 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and well‑structured lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Support children in achieving their full potential both academically and personally
  • Create a nurturing classroom environment where every child feels valued
  • Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and track progress
  • Work closely with colleagues to contribute to year‑group and whole‑school planning
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support learning and wellbeing
  • Play an active role in school life and contribute to our inclusive, team‑focused culture

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is a qualified teacher with QTS
  • Has experience teaching in KS1 (Year 2 experience ideal but not essential)
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum, including SATs preparation
  • Is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
  • Brings creativity, energy, and a child‑centred approach to the classroom
  • Works well as part of a collaborative team
  • Has excellent behaviour‑management and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
