PPA Cover Teacher

Location: Thornton, Lancashire
Start Date: ASAP / Flexible Start Date
Contract: Part-Time (3 Days per Week)
Salary: Competitive rates of pay, dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a passionate and adaptable PPA Cover Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Thornton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher seeking a part-time role, working 3 days per week, covering Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time across the school.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across a range of year groups, maintaining high standards of teaching and learning while ensuring consistency and continuity for pupils.

The Role

As a PPA Cover Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Assess pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within a primary school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • The flexibility and confidence to work across different year groups
  • A commitment to promoting pupil achievement and wellbeing
