PE Teacher, Manchester

  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (MPS/UPS)

Our client RC Secondary school require a teacher of Female PE to join their department from September, initially for one term. Due to an unforeseen absence within the department, there is also the potential of a fixed term post from January 2018.

Job Highlights:

- Full time PE Teaching position, September start

- Potential of a permanent post from 2018

- Pay in line with teaching scale point (£22,467 - £38,250 per annum)

- KS3 and KS4 classes

- Large RC Secondary school, great location

With over 1,200 pupils on roll, the school is larger than average and has been graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted for Leadership and Management. The PE department is large, with three male and two female teachers currently working at school.

The school is located near to the M60 motorway and can be accessed via central Manchester, Rochdale and Oldham. Public transportation links also provide a direct route to the school with Moston train station nearby.

The Head of Faculty boasts grades above the national average across PE since joining the school. It is expected that the incoming PE teacher has previous experience of GCSE students and has the drive to encourage each pupil to achieve excellence.
