PE & Sports Teaching Assistant
We want someone to support learning around PE and develop school's sports profile.
Do you have a qualification in Sport? Is a career in education part of your plans? Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of children? We are looking to appoint someone who has the ambition, drive and resilience to serve Kent primary schools and who is unwavering in their commitment to improve the outcomes and lives of children.
We want someone who will provide general classroom support for part of the day with the other part working with all teachers and all year groups to help with the delivery of a high-quality PE curriculum. We also want someone to support the development of social play at break and lunchtimes. The role will also involve leading some after-school provision and developing school's participation in sports competitions. Do you want to work in a school with a Headteacher and Governing Body who set out a crystal-clear direction for the school. (Ofsted, June 2016) and help achieve our commitment of wanting the best for and the best from everyone in our learning community'? We are looking for:
- Someone with some form of sports qualification e.g. coaching, a degree, relevant and recent experience etc
- Someone who is able to motivate people (children and adults) to engage in the development of PE and Sports
- Someone who can work with others to achieve objectives in line with school policy
- Someone able to think creatively and use their initiative to get things done without constant supervision
- Someone who is eager to develop school's participation in competition to raise the sporting profile of the school
