A school on the outskirts of Accrington town centre have approached Teaching Personnel in order to source a flexible & dedicated part-time Teaching Assistant who can plan & deliver Intervention sessions to small groups and individual children to help raise standards in reading, writing and mathematics. The Head teacher of this Ofsted ‘GOOD’ School has mentioned, they are preferably looking for a TA that has had previous experience of working in a similar role, at least 2 years experience in the Primary Sector and someone who can work on a flexible part-time basis. The role will be to support children in KS2, specifically children who are working below or working towards their age expected levels for Maths and English. The Class teacher will set the objectives and expect the successful candidate to tailor planning and delivery to meet the needs of the children. The head has got the ‘green light’ from the school governors to employ the right candidate for the rest of the academic year. The head has stated the role can be either mornings or afternoons, she just wants the right candidate.

This is an excellent role, in an excellent school. The pay will be competitive and the working hours are negotiable, likely to be around 15 hours a week.
